We have been blessed in 2025 with the super talented folk who have made their way to Willowbrook to play on our little stage, and we are grateful to you, the audience who have showed up for these shows. We put our heart and soul into these fully DIY shows, we build a timber stage for each one, we decorate with the audience’s experience on mind, we put thought into the lighting and the welcome you get when you arrive, and we are fully aware that the most important people in the room at these shows are you the audience. It doesn’t happen without your support.

For our 7th Willowbrook Whispers show, we are delighted to welcome 2 powerful Limerick Women to perform for you on Friday June 20th. The evening will be opened up by Triona Horan, with Emma Langford headlining the night.

As usual, Tickets to the show are:
€20 General admission
€70 for Show + Accommodation for Friday night
€25 on the door if the event does not sell out

Tickets are transferrable but non-refundable. Thank you for supporting grassroots music in the west of Ireland.

Emma Langford blends folk, traditional and contemporary sounds and styles, offering an insight through her work into Irish folklore, history, and many of life’s universal truths. Her much loved ballad The Winding Way Down to Kells Bay, and epic anthem Birdsong have both topped the Irish charts, and helped solidify her place on the Irish and international music scene. 2024 saw the release of two brand new singles, Boys Will Be Boys (F*** That) and Hunting The Hare, both of which carry strong and unequivocal messages around violence against women, animal welfare, and toxic masculinity.

The artist has received multiple awards for her work, including an RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Award, the Music Network Ireland RESONATE residency, and the inaugural Dolores O’Riordan Bursary. She has played Ireland’s National Concert Hall alongside acclaimed conductor Éimear Noone and the National Symphony Orchestra, premiering new original works inspired by Ireland’s pirate queen, Gráinne Mhaol. She is also a member of star-studded collective Irish Women In Harmony. Langford has played sold out solo shows internationally, and has shared stages with some of the island’s best loved songwriters such as Declan O’Rourke, Paul Brady, Mary Coughlan, Mick Flannery and Wallis Bird.

In 2025 she is touring the US, the UK, Germany and Denmark, and is working on the release of her next studio album. We are very happy that she has managed to fit a show at Willowbrook into her busy schedule.

Tríona Horan is a Limerick city-based singer-songwriter of catchy melodies and lyrics of a self-reflective nature. She enjoys a style of writing that is mainly folk/folk-pop, exploring themes of nature, loss and self-love. Tríona completed an MA in Songwriting at the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance, and is planning to release new music later this year.

She released her debut single, ‘Love is Love’ in July 2024. Tríona’s most notable gig to date took place in Dolans, where she supported folk/Americana trio, The Raines.

Please be aware that as usual, the show will be recorded for our series of Willowbrook Whispers videos, which are broadcast on Youtube.
