Yurts
Our ever-popular yurts sleep up to 5 people and are the genuine Mongolian-built article, which we have modified slightly to suit the Irish weather conditions. In addition to the original recycled wool insulating in the walls, we have added timber cladding and a timber framed felt roof to each yurt. We have also incorporated a raised insulated floor into each yurt for added comfort and the yurts are heated with oil filled heaters to ensure they are cosy all year -round. Each yurt has a large covered over deck, featuring either a private wood fired hot tub (Yurty Ahern and Yurty & The Tramp) or a hanging day bed (Yurt Cobain). For those who like to holiday with your pet, you’ll be glad to know that the aptly named Yurty and the tramp yurt is dog friendly.
Yurty Ahern
Step into warmth and comfort with Yurty Ahern, a charming Mongolian-inspired yurt designed for a cozy and restful getaway. With space for up to four guests (plus an extra camping bed available for families of five), this inviting space features a toasty oil-filled heater, insulated timber-clad walls, and a raised wooden floor to keep you comfortable in every season. The handcrafted timber-framed roof adds an extra touch of warmth and character, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Outside, unwind on your private covered deck and soak in your very own private wood-fired hot tub, a peaceful escape after a day of adventure.

Bring the whole family - including your four-legged friend - to Yurty & The Tramp, our dog-friendly Mongolian yurt! Designed for comfort and relaxation, this spacious retreat sleeps four (with an option for an extra camping bed) and offers plenty of floor space for your pup’s bed. Stay warm and cozy with an oil-filled heater, insulated timber-clad walls, and a raised floor, all designed for year-round comfort. The handcrafted timber-framed roof adds an extra touch of warmth, making this the perfect place to unwind. Step onto your private covered deck, where your private wood-fired hot tub awaits—ideal for a relaxing soak under the stars (though your furry friend will have to sit this one out!).

Our three themed pods are the latest addition to our site here at Willowbrook. Each one offers a cozy living area and a bedroom that sleeps four in a comfy double bed and a fun bunk bed (for larger groups a pull-out sofa bed is available in the living area of each pod). A covered over deck area at the front of each pod allows guests to unwind in the outdoors. Each pod is super well insulated and has its own thermostatically controlled central heating system meaning they are comfy and cosy all year round.

This budget-friendly retreat sleeps up to six guests, featuring two bunk beds downstairs and a snug double bed in the loft, perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep. Set within a beautifully converted farm building, the space is designed to bring the magic of nature indoors, with soft lighting and charming touches that create a warm, enchanting atmosphere. Tucked away just a short stroll from the main campsite buzz and conveniently located next to the campers’ kitchen, it’s the ideal hideaway for those looking to unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy a truly relaxing stay.

Our site features a range of options, including Mongolian yurts (some with private hot tubs) glamping pods and a 200-year-old converted farm building. More details on our Glamping page. We also have camping pitches.
No, all guests use the toilets and showers in our communal toilet and shower block.
Yes, beds will be made up with fresh linen ahead of your arrival.
While we try to cater for your comfort and enjoyment you are still camping in the great outdoors, and we are at the mercy of the weather.
Some essentials to bring are:
- Wet weather gear, jackets, wellies, and an umbrella (just in case)
- Towels
- Cosy Pjs, slippers and socks
- Food for your lunch and dinner, (For glamping guests we supply the continental breakfast and for lunch / dinner pizza packs for the pizza oven can be purchased on site) There are communal fridges that can be used to keep your snacks chilled.
- Phone chargers
- Torch
- Musical instruments and sketch pads if you so wish.

Yes, our camper’s kitchen is available for use from 10am – 10pm.
We are working on making our site more accessible, but we are not yet in a position to say we are ‘Disability friendly’. It is something we are aiming for in the future however. Please see the Accessibility Info page of this website.
Yes — Ballaghaderreen is close by and has cafés, pubs and restaurants, making it easy to eat out during your stay. The town is only a short drive from the site, so guests can combine a countryside break with nearby conveniences.
Willowbrook is a good base for both on-site activities and local day trips. Guests can enjoy pizza making, fishing, a fairy garden and art classes on site, while nearby attractions include Lough Key Forest Park, the Beara-Breifne Way and heritage sites such as Rathcroghan.
